Hat thief!

This is Dad's hat. But, Mom stole it from him, and was wearing it. Now, it appears as though it belongs to Owen.

He looks better in it anyway. We'll let him keep it.

Naptime, it's a wonderful thing. Well, mom and dad wouldn't know, but that's what Owen says.

Owen & Mom's garden!

Earlier this spring, Owen helped mom plant some funny things in the dirt. Back then, the 'in the dirt' part was the focus. But, now we have this wonderful color out in front of the house. Yay spring!

Owen Tech: He's got SHADES!

Unfortunately, the Baby Banz sunglasses just didn't cut it. Owen wasn't comfortable in them, so we ordred up a new set. These stylin shades are from Julbo. They're actually really nice!

The design is reversable, so there's no 'right side up'...

And, he doesn't mind wearing them. Not at all. In fact, I think he knew that he was a stylin dude. Watch out, girls... Owen is armed and dangerous, with SHADES!

Did someone call the mini IT dept?

Great Grandma Sally had a few troubles with her computer. One of them, in particular, was that it died. Since that's what she uses to read this blog, Owen put personal effort into working on it to recover information off of the hard drive. Success! Owen's first tech assignment went well!

The replacement machine is a very, very cool one of these.

Kitchen time

Mr. Owen is ready for a cooking filled Saturday. We only had to wrap the apron straps around three times to fit.

It's the end of the world as we know it...

And mom is not so sure she'll feel fine. Yes, that's right. Owen figured out, all on his own, that laundry baskets can be converted into a reaching-lights-and-dishes-and-laptops-on-counters device. The world that seemed so safe and out of reach is no longer out of reach.

So, everyone, say it with us. Uh-oh...........

Here We Go Again!

Owen is going through another cycle. Fussy and uncomfortable last night, then he was sick again at midnight. We are hoping this won't last, but it is very frustrating. This family needs some good sleep!

Chez Owen

Owen helped prepare dinner tonight. He is really good at spinning the salad.

Tired of being sick...

Owen is making progress on the road to health, but he's still not all the way healthy yet. He's not very comfortable at night. In fact, he's so tired that he'll fall asleep standing up. Yes... he is, in fact, asleep here. He took a 15 minute nap in this position this morning.

C'mon, Owen... let's get healthy!

Return of the SKETTY Monster!

We're back! That's right... we finally whooped whatever virus Owen had and now we're full throttle into eating. And, what is the best meal for returning to a regular kid diet? That's right! SKETTI!

During the past month, Owen actually learned how to use a fork. Almost. His technique is still a bit raw, but he's getting there. Tonight was the first night Owen transported food from plate to mouth without any help. We weren't lucky enough to capture that on camera, but we did get some good photos to share.

So, now we enter "Mission WeightGain." Owen has some ground to make up... and we intend to take this mission head on.

Stash!

Owen and Dad go STASH! Following Brad Pitt's lead, Owen and Dad went to stashville in support of Senate Bill 9.
